A New Inspiration and A Nudge

Well, I can't post without a picture so here is Nic.  Such a ham!

I have a blog friend, Janine.  I love visits to her blog and the emails that usually follow.  She has been part of a group that create an art quilt every quarter that they design from a prompt.  The group will disband at the end of the year, so Janine and another member of the group are starting a new group..The Endeavourers.  If you think you might be interested, please go here to read about it, and sign up!

I am TERRIBLE with sewing dead lines, so I will strive to create my piece as soon as I get the prompt without procrastination. I'll be working on two issues I have at the same time.  Making time for myself to sew and my tendency to procrastinate.

Even if you are not interested in participating, please feel free to share a link to Janine's post.  The more the merrier.

Today, I am grateful for my ability to remain mobile as I get older.  And Coffee.  Lots of Coffee.

Let me know if you are interested in the group.  Do you drink coffee or tea?
xx, Carol

  1. Coffee?ansolutely, but only one HUGE cup to start my day. It gets me through. Sometimes tea with lunch, but no caffeine later than that or I have sleep issues. I, too, hope to remain mobile as aging takes over some things. So far so good, but I'm thankful I don't have to walk on my hands! Walking at sunset has become an addiction. I will check out Janine's post, and please, no more cuteness from that family in residence! What a doll!

  3. Yes he is a HAM! and so cute. If I had time I would join the group. Coffee!? Up until a month ago I was a HUGE coffee drinker. I love the way my DH makes it and I drank it hot and black. Since being diagnosed with posteriors last month I quit drinking or tea. The caffeine leaches calcium from bone and well..... Surprisingly enough I don't miss it at all and I feel better.

  4. Coffee!!!! Love our coffee and we have a Keurig maker that we don't know what we would do without it. I know what you mean about deadlines...I don't like them but I do belong to an online group Art Quilters Around the World and we have a challenge due every two months. They are small quilts and so far I'm making the deadlines! HA

  6. I only drink one cup of coffee in the morning. I hate that jittery feeling. This group sound interesting, a year is big commitment but I think I will give it a go. But I'm promising myself I won't get into anything else. Thanks for sharing this. Enjoy your pond now cold weather is around the corner.

  7. I LOVE kids that are hams!!!! He's so cute!
Wish I could drink coffee or tea. The acid bothers me-but I do have caffeine in dark chocolate and cocoa nibs-supposed to be good for ya too. But I thought caffeine was good as well? I'm also thankful for being able to do my walk each morning, and all the other hard labor (!) I get to do around here!!!

  11. This is interesting...I seen it is done full. I would not have joined anyway just because of how things go. But I will have fun watching and seeing what you do. And just see if I can think of anything to do for the prompts.

That child makes me think of Lorelei...always making faces, always light-hearted.
