Counting Down To The New Year---2014!!

First...Happy New Year.
I 've been a little AWOL, but I'm back.
Saying goodbye to 2012 will be easy.

Its been a rough year for our health.

Its been a rough year for transitions at work.
Sometimes, the drama there is over-bearing.
So, in October I'll be 62.  The decision is say goodbye at the end of the year.  Automatically...My Mind Is Calm.

  1. Hi, I've just come across your blog for the first time. I'm so glad that you are finding the "calm" in your decison for the end of the year. Whatever you do, you will be thankful that you will now have time to do it and enjoy it. Take care, best wishes for the new year...Cynthia S.

Hope you work things out at work. We all have to start fresh. Take care.

  3. Carol... I bet you and I both work in areas that run on a fiscal year... we both have skipped 2013 and gone straight to 2014... LOL... makes me glad I am not the only one who did that!

I sincerely hope that the coming year will be amazing for all of us!

  4. 2014?
Happy New Year, Carol, to you and your family! I hope this next year is much better and brings you tons of happiness! Hugs!

  5. i am so very glad that you have an end date in sight - it certainly helps one to get through the daily grind...
2012 brought all kinds of challenges - the dragon was not playing around...
but i know that through them people came together and supported each other - it is something for which i am so grateful to have experienced and witnessed...
wishing you a year filled with love, joy, peace and abundance carol... thank you so much for helping me and being there -

  6. yes I to appreciate calm I have come to depend and rely on it more and more.
here's to hoping, this year will bring you this rare concept, more fully!
oh! great picture BTW you look Marvelous!
I hope I look that good when 60 hits.
    happy new year dearie!

  7. Best Carol, go forward with conviction that it's the right thing. Farewell 2012, amen!

  8. I'm sorry to hear that 2012 was not a great year for you, but we can all look forward to a great 2013. We can look forward to 2014, too, like your post title says, hehe, but we might as well have fun in 2013 first!! Wishing you all the best!! Hugs, Cathy

  9. Good for you!! Come birthday time this year, you will smile, say your goodbyes, and never look back.

I know. I did what you are planning to do when I turned 62. I gave my boss 12 months notice to find a replacement for me and began my countdown on my office wall. They threw me a retirement party and my last day at work was the day I turned 62.

Have fun there at work until the end. Good luck to you.

Looking forward to what you have planned after retirement.

  10. Happy new year, Carol! I've just read all of your posts for the year 2012. If there was a gimmick that could give me 2-3 hours more per day, I'd use it to keep up with blogs... yours, Susan Elliott's, and many others.

I love how you write, how you express yourself. I love the pictures of the blue birds, racoons, squirrels. I love to read about your artistic pathway, like the machine-stitched crazy quilt.

By the way, what happened to Randy and Roger... do they still come?

Thanks for sharing your voice. Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blogs, especially for encouraging me on Words Paint.

Wishing you better health, successful transitions, calm, and time for writing and stitching. Beady blessings... xoxox

  11. I can just imagine the calm you are feeling with that decision! Hope its a much better year for you in 2013. I know it will be for me as I will finally be back living in California. Already got my license with the same number I got when I was 16 and newly licensed!

  12. "The decision is say goodbye at the end of the year."

Sis, with that news I have just one word.....
