Forward!

First of all ...here I am.  Its always good to put a face with a voice, huh. This is my look for 2013.

I have been away from the blog, away from stitching, except a little crochet in waiting rooms, and        Super busy. I have been working toward voter registration, early and absentee vote AND getting my candidates elected.  I am happy to say Four More Years...Forward!

I've been thinking about how my views have changed in the last four years. Not really changed, just tweaked for the better. I've been thinking about what more I can do.

But for now, I am looking forward to taking Thanksgiving week off work. Putting my house back in order.  Relaxing.  Enjoying time with my family..and yes...I'll be cooking the bird.  The kids are out of school that week and already planning on coming over to help Terry clean out the back garage. Life is Good.

that had to have been some of the best balm life could have provided during the past two weeks here - i sat in my bed in a sleeping bag, listening to a transistor radio to the results coming in... people voted for good sense, intelligence, kindness, poise and grace under fire... it still brings me to tears...
your thanksgiving sounds wonderful! i forget it is near to mid nov we ended up missing halloween... but have much to be thankful for - including friends like you -

Howdy Carol, love your 2013 look! Yay you, Forward indeed! I'm just getting back a bit as we help out with Sandy recovery. Wow, won't be over for months, perhaps years, to come. We were among the fortunate ones at our bay getaway place. Others, not so much. Onward with Thanksgiving and family!

Hi Carol!

How wonderful to SEE you! Love your look for 2013! I too was pleased to see the way the vote went. I really do believe it was the most intelligent choice. With the Congress he has i'm not sure how much he'll get done but i still feel he was the best choice.

I am growing my hair out for 2013! Can you believe it? I've had short hair FOREVER and it feels so odd brushing the back of my neck now..lol......new year...new look...new house...I'm so glad we decided to shake things up!

I hope posting more often is on your 'to do' list. :)HUGS! deb

I think you look just amazing Carol, and hope that 2013 is going to be the best year yet!

It's funny, I spent a bit of yesterday catching up on some blogs... doing my blog wandering as I often think of it, one blog leading to another and then another, and I am taken by how our country has become so very polarized when it comes to our political parties.

I often recall the time when, a few years ago, one of my co-workers told me that I was "wrong" to disagree with Bush, "He is our president, and you should support him whether you agree with his position or not."

Apparently that only holds true if the candidate of your choice is in the office though as I heard very disparaging remarks from her about this election.

Ah... isn't it interesting...?

Hi Carol! First of all, let me say that you are gorgeous (I am sure Terry agrees) and I LOVE your hair!

Like you, I am so thrilled that Obama has four more years. It is hard being a Dem in this state (Utah) but we BLUES are leading the way to more acceptance of others of all types, not just rich white conservative men.

Enjoy your family and Thanksgiving. This year we will have everyone together, and I am so excited!!

Hugs,
Cathy

You look great! I just don't have it in me to update but I am very happy about the election news. I was so hoping Arizona would swing over this time with the growing Hispanic vote but it didn't happen. They are still counting ballots so I don't know the exact numbers.

Hi Carl,

Awesome look. I just wanted to say thank you for leaving a comment on my Social Media Reflections blog. That must have been a strange find when you were looking for beading, embroidery, etc. But I do off-loom beading and embroidery, I just haven't blogged about it. Mostly I write for myself for MBA classes to keep the lessons learned memorable.

Your blog is nice and I'll be making frequent trips back to see what's new. Thanks again.

Hi Carol,
I love your look for 2013! Beautiful...

I'm considering working on my look, too. It's hard to get older.... I want to be one of those cute old ladies but somehow seem to be stuck still trying to be 25 - 2013 is a good year to change that!

GOBAMA! I was glued to the TV on election night and couldn't have been happier :)
Cheers to a(nother) good year!
Cindy
