We Spoil Them

Corey wanted a hammock.

I can't believe that Papa agreed.  He used to complain about holes in the walls.

I didn't care.  What's the big deal? When he gets tired of it, plug the holes.  After all, Terry is a Maintenance Man.  He will teach Corey how to do it, right?  That's what I thought.

But wait!!

I always call Kyle Corey's puppet. (said lovingly and laughingly).  Of course Kyle wanted one too!

Anything to keep the tribe happy!

  2. Lol, we spoil our grandkids too. We helped two of them get new bikes this year and I buy art supplies and classes for them too. One granddaughter didn't need anything but loves computer games like hidden objects kind so I bought her a 12 month subscription at MSN. When my son-in-law objected that spoiling isn't good for them my daughter told him it's the grandparents JOB to spoil grandkids. Actually, it helps the kids get things they mostly need but their dad won't buy. I'm sure a lot of your spoiling fits into the "need" category too but sometimes like with the hammocks, it's just plain fun to let them have what they want! And yes, your husband should teach them how to patch holes. That will come in handy when they rent apartments someday.

  3. Talk about fun!
And when the boys are not home maybe Bama could have a turn? (It looks like a great place to curl up with a craft magazine!) :-)

  4. How fun is that?! I think at their ages I would have loved a hammock in my room too!
You are right, walls are easy to plug holes in... good experience for Terry to teach them home maintenance skills LOL!

  7. Well, that's a nice idea and I am certainly not showing this to my kids, because tomorrow I will have to ruin my walls and hang one for them :)
