What the Weekend Brings

I've been lazy.  Well, that's not really true.  I have been battling alergies and that just zaps my energy.  We have been running around for the last few weekends.  Terry told me we have to stay home this weekend.  There is yardwork to be done!  Yay if the weather co-operates.

I pick the beads up a little, so I will be more focussed on that.  and....I am waiting for my order of fabric dyes from my new friend,  Dick Blick.  Nope, its not a passing fancy.  You are going to see more fiber work from me.

I also am putting together a new cuff idea..nope, not many beads in this one.  Recycling is involved along with vintage personal charms of mine and those of my mom.  Its amazing what you can find when you search through all your jewelry boxes.  How the heck did I accumulate so many St. Christopher metals!!

We'll see what the weekend brings.

Now that looks like Laverne's grandmother. Aren't those diamonds on her eyeglasses?

The projects you are planning sound fabulous, Carol!

Yay for art supplies on the way! Don't you just love to receive a package with fun new "stuff"?

    Enjoy your yard this weekend!

  6. I just saw on the news yesterday that pollen counts are the highest in years. Everyone with allergies is going to be suffering a lot. I hope you do okay out in the yard - don't go outside too early.

Too many St. Christopher medals? Didn't they toss him out for lack of proof of real existence years ago? Will enjoy seeing what you do with the cuff. And take care with that new friend Dick Blick. He likes to take all your spare and not so spare money! Trust me, I know!

  8. That picture is me at the weekends - I totally blob out and become a couch potato!! Although I have almost finished a craft project of my own - a knitted scarecrow doll a la Jean Greenhow (heard of her?) Well it's very cute though I'm getting to the bit I dread: doing the face. It is so hard to get the expression right - so as not to frighten the little girl it's intended for!! Look forward to seeing you new creations.

  10. Ohhh Carol...St. Christopher...when I graduated high school, my best friend gave me one as we started our journey out into the real world. That charm led me to a collection that now is strung out over 19 very full charm bracelets. And yet, that one is still my favorite...I'm looking forward to seeing what your weekend did bring!

  11. Jim is MISERABLE with his allergies too. His eyes are so swollen that he can barely see out of them. I have allergies too but seem to suffer more in the Fall in hayfever season...

    Good luck with St. Christopher...
