BJP November 08

Well, like a lot of those who are participating in this project, I am behind. Most of the reason was that I couldn't even THINK of a subject to bead. November can sidetrack you with thoughts of...well...thanks. But before Thanksgiving comes Veterans Day. When I read that Obama chose General Eric Shinseki as head of Veteran Affairs, I felt hope. Not only hope for all Veterans, but hope for the entire country.

Well, with my theme settled on, how would I depict hope.

When I think back to the darkest times in my life. Those times of depression, sadness or feeling helpless, the one thing that always gave me a feeling of hope was a bright sunny day.

  1. Carol I am with you on being behind. November did not speak to me until I looked at some pictures I took of a parade - they messed up and have the best colors - that will be what I go back and work on. December is not finished yet and I am babysitting Gianni so it may be late. I love your sunshine and don't we need "a ray of sunshine" right now. Let's play catch up in 2009 and "have fun".

  2. Thanks for you beautiful sharing on hope. Your piece immediately reminds me of our internal flame. A connection to source that can bring us through the darkness even when we think that we have lost all connection with it. It continues to burn bright no matter what circumstances we are facing...Happy New Year Carol! Love, Camilla

  7. Carol this is awesome! It really conveys movement in the rays as well. Nice work. We all need sunny days at one time or another and this actually made me think of an "earth" or "world" type sun.

  17. Sloooooooow describes me well. So well in fact that I am only now getting around to reading this. (I am still out visiting my family - it's been a very long holiday). I think the bright sunshiny page is great. Especially when you are in the middle of winter. That really spells hope!
